Obituary for
Fred Jackson
Freddie E. Jackson of Evans, passed away September 2, 2018. He was born in Las Animas, Colorado to Lester and Gladys (Sloan) Jackson. He enlisted in the Army in 1964, the same year he met his future wife Peggy Andrews. He completed his service in May 1966 and married Peggy June 26th, 1966.
He has three children, two daughters Penney Jo, Carey Jo and son Cory Joe. He was the owner and operator of Greeley Spray Service and Jackson’s Tree Service. After retiring, he was employed by Walmart until his passing. “Fred didn’t work until he was tired he worked until the job was done”. A proud Native American. He enjoyed camping, the Broncos, spending time with his grandchildren and raising his family of goats.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy; three children, Penney Rakowski (Darren), Carey Coatney (Sidney) and Cory (Carisa Debrine). Five grandchildren, Taylor, Eric, Samantha Coatney, Merissa, Sydney Rakowski; and one great grandchild, Nea Rakowski. Two Brothers, Jimmie (Jay) Jackson, Paul Jackson (Tina) and Emma Faye Handley (Charles). Many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation 5-7 p.m. Thursday September 6, 2018 at Adamson Chapel. Life Celebration Service 10:00 a.m. Friday September 7, 2018 at Journey Christian Church, 4754 W. 31st St. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
