Condolences

Condolence From: Tammy Lane
Condolence: When I was young, I loved visiting with Aunt Birdie. She was always full of stories and advice. She always made me laugh when she would tell me I should grow my red hair very long, then get it cut and make a wig to use in my later years so I would always have beautiful red hair. Now that my gray hairs have taken their place among my fading red ones, I realize I should have taken that sage bit of advice! Rest in Peace Birdie, and condolences to her loving family.

Condolence From: Gerald and Joyce Nix
Condolence: Aunt Birdie is the last member of her family's generation - and what a great group; Fred, Myrtle, Hub, and Birdie. Their parents, Lenton and Noma Nix lived through the transition from the 19th century to the 20th century, bringing their family to Colorado from Georgia in 1928 when Birdie was a young girl of 4 years old. Birdie attended school in Gill and Galeton. Galeton school annuals from the 1930s show a cute and vivacious young lady. Birdie was quite bright and had a deep desire to learn about many things. She was a good wife to Vester (deceased) and a good Mother; raising Ronnie (deceased), former U.S. Representative Marilyn Musgrave and Donnie. Birdie will be missed. Our condolences to her family. She was a good and great woman!

Gerald and Joyce Nix
