Charles "Chuck" Harding
Charles “Chuck” Henry Harding, 68 of Platteville, CO, son of Henry and Rose (Schneider) Harding was born in Denver on October, 8 1949. Chuck passed away at his home on August 19, 2018.
Chuck grew up in LaSalle and graduated from Valley High School in 1968. He attended AIMS to get his pilot license. After that, he started working for Bob Larson building Monfort Feed Lots.
He married Julie (Norgren) Harding on August 20, 1971. They made their home in Platteville where they raised their four children, Kristi, Chad, Ryan, and Lindsey.
Chuck started his own business with heavy equipment working with Butch Berry and Chris Barclay for many years. He went to work for Excel Energy in Denver before moving to the Fort St. Vrain plant in Platteville. He volunteered with the Platteville Fire Department for 23 years. Chuck enjoyed watching the Colorado Rockies and Denver Broncos. He also loved driving around the countryside taking photographs and chasing crop dusters. He enjoyed his yearly travels to Mexico with Julie and their friends and he looked forward to his daily trips to the Doubletree in Platteville for coffee with the guys. He was a huge Valley Viking supporter and enjoyed watching his grandkids play sports all over Northern Colorado.
He loved spending time with his family and cooking for them. He would do anything for his family!
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Julie of Platteville. His daughter Kristi (Rudy) Armijo of Windsor, son Chad (Kristina) Harding of Greeley, son Ryan (Carla) Harding of Platteville, and daughter Lindsey (Jeff) Klein of Greeley. He is also survived by his grandchildren Mackenzie, Madison and Grayson Armijo, Carter and Kendyl Harding, Kade and Addison Harding, and Sawyer and Ryder Klein. He is also survived by lots of loving, extended family.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Henry and Rose, and his sister, Beth Tucker.
A Life Celebration Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Christ Community Church, 1301 15th Street, Greeley. A reception will immediately follow the service at the Gilcrest Fire Department at 14679 WCR 42.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Platteville/Gilcrest Fire Protection District in lieu of flowers and gifts in care of Adamson Funeral & Cremation, 2000 47th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634.
