Obituary for
Steven Richard Geisert
Steven Richard Geisert, 62, of Greeley passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at his home. He was born October 10, 1955 in Ogallala, NE to Richard Henry and Francis Marie (Kostman) Geisert. At the age of two, the family moved to Colorado.
Steve graduated from Eaton High School and married Carolyn Kay Hoffner in 1981 in Greeley.
He worked in construction his entire life, beginning with the family business, Fran and Sons Construction, later working for Hall-Irwin and most recently from Jex Construction.
Steve loved going to auctions, recreational shooting, home brew beers, but most enjoyed time with family, especially the grandkids.
He was a member of the Union Colony Exchange Club and had served as Rocky Mountain District President.
Thankful to have shared his life are his wife, Carolyn; sons, Chris and (fiancée Tiffany Wohlgemuth) and Tom (Kristina) as well as his four grandchildren, Noah Loveland, Declan, Nash and MorieAnna Geisert; parents, Richard “Dick” and Francis Geisert; brother, Gene (Twyla); sister, Susan (Jim) Florence and nieces and nephews.
Visitation 2:30-5 p.m. Sunday at Adamson. Life Celebration Service 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Paul’s Congregational Church, 1525 43rd Avenue, Greeley. A luncheon will follow the service. Interment 1:30 p.m. at Linn Grove Cemetery.
