Tonias James "Tony" Voss
Tonias James "Tony" Voss, 62, of Evans, CO passed away on March 26, 2017 at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO. Tony was born on June 13, 1954 to Eldon and Ruth Ann (Peters) Voss in Worthington, MN.
Tony grew up in Greeley and graduated from Greeley West High School in 1972. An accident in June 1974 resulted in a serious spinal injury that rendered him a paraplegic. He spent nine months recovering at Craig Hospital in Englewood, CO.
He returned to Evans where he purchased a small home and resided for forty years.
Residential Visiting Nurse Association (RVNA) and family members made his life as comfortable as possible. Tony was a Ham Radio Operator and enjoyed communicating with truckers as they passed through Greeley. He also enjoyed his Dalmatian, named Josh, who was a constant companion until his passing. Tony was a member of Gloria Christi Lutheran Church in Greeley and was visited by his pastor on a regular basis.
He is survived by his parents, Eldon and Ruth Ann Voss; brother Herb Voss; sister, Colleen Mau and her husband, Dennis; and a loving extended family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
