Condolences

Condolence From: Kirk Goble
Condolence: Wayne Ball was powerful inspiration in my life. He taught me so many things, technical skills and about life. He led me to accomplishments in high school including leadership, earning the State Farmer designation, many judging team awards, and as a state winning Parliamentary procedure team. His example caused me to go to CSU to become an Ag teacher myself. I taught for 10 years at Alamosa High School, hosted the state FFA convention twice, and my students and I were awarded a Presidential Citation from President Jimmy Carter in a White House Rose Garden ceremony. I've spent the last 30 years in agricultural real estate and continued teaching classes to my fellow Realtors. More recently I joined the staff of Aims Community College, teaching in the Agricultural Sciences program. I owe so much to Wayne and the Ball family for inspiration, friendship, and a lifetime dedication to agricultural education. I have always acknowledged Wayne's role in the direction of my own life and carry great pride in the accomplishments he inspired. I will be forever grateful.

Condolence From: Don Thorn
Condolence: I never had the opportunity to meet Mr. Ball, but I know he made a significant impact on many young students that loved agriculture and the Colorado Future Farmers of America--so much so that a gift was made in his honor to help outfit a teaching facility at Colorado State University for future high school ag teachers. The facility is designed to create many more Mr. Ball's in this world--that will nurture, care for, grow, and guide students to reach their potential--personally, socially, and professionally, no matter what their area of interest. I know his legacy will serve as an inspiration for future generations of agriculture educators--he has been spoken so highly of---I wish I would have had the opportunity to meet him myself.

The signage reads:

"Equipment for this power lab purchased in honor of Mr. Wayne Ball. Mr. Ball was a great agricultural education instructor and FFA advisor. He made young people want to succeed. He had a profound positive influence on me and many others in our school and community--Mr. Edward B. Cordes"

Condolence: Dear Ball family, we are sad to hear of Wayne's passing but rejoice that he is now in heaven with other family members and friends. Wayne impacted many lives throughout his teaching career as well as through life. We know he will be greatly missed. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Condolence: To Steve and the Ball family. My deepest sympathies on the loss of the Patriarch of your family. I met Wayne once and he seemed like such a sweet man. Words are so inadequate at a time like this. I pray that God may grant you some measure of peace in your hearts.
