Obituary for
Alan Erickson
Alan Erickson, 85 of Greeley, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016 at TRU Hospice of Northern Colorado Inpatient Unit. He was born in Gill, CO on December 23, 1930 to William and Juanita (Russell) Erickson where he grew up on the family farm.
He graduated from high school and joined the U.S. Navy, serving four years, two of them on the U.S. Florikan submarine rescue ship overseas during the Korean War before being honorably discharged.
Alan married Betty Jane Feit on May 16, 1953 and they celebrated 63 years together.
Alan owned and operated Weld County Appliance for a number of years before retiring.
Survivors include his wife, Betty of Greeley; sons, Kent and Wayne Erickson of Greeley; grandsons, Josh, Joel and Jacob Erickson and one great-grandson, Tyrin; brother, Bill and sister, Elaine as well as a special family friend, Shane Powell of Greeley.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A reception open house will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 at the Adamson Reception Center from 10 a.m. to 12’noon.
