Obituary for
Becky Sue LaPorta
Becky LaPorta, 47, of Greeley, CO a small business owner and homemaker died on November 21, 2016.
Becky was born January, 2 1969 in Denver, CO to Sharon and Ivan Peterson. She graduated from Arvada high school, before attending Front Range Community College where she earned her bachelors degree in respiratory therapy. After graduation Becky worked at Denver area hospitals such as Denver General and Presbyterian/St. Luke’s where she was a respiratory therapist. It was during this time that she met and began dating Joe LaPorta. They were married on January 23rd 1992 at Arvada Presbyterian Church.
Tony was the first of three children. It was motherhood that Becky found what she was truly great at; as well as the job she loved doing the most. The following year, Becky gave birth to her daughter Cecilee, which was followed five years later their final child, a son, Nic. As a mother, Becky was loving and passionate. She also helped run her husbands business; Becks Building Care LLC, a commercial cleaning business based in northern Colorado named after her.
Becky loved her family more than anything. Whether it was supporting her children, helping her husband Joe with their business, or something as simple as enjoying a cup of coffee with her friends from around northern Colorado.
The LaPorta family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the family friends who have offered support and meals in the last two weeks.
Her Memorial Service will be held at Adamson Chapel December 10th at 1 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the LaPorta family would like to humbly ask for memorial contributions to Nic’s college savings account at the Bank of Colorado, under the name of Nic LaPorta.
