Obituary for
Karla Louise Grieser
Karla Louise Grieser, 72, of Highlands Ranch, CO and longtime resident of LaSalle, CO passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016 in Highlands Ranch.
She was born in Wauseon, OH on April 18, 1944 to Floyd and Grayce (Miller) Ricker. Karla attended St. Vincent’s School of Nursing, and on November 25, 1965, in Wauseon, Karla married her sweetheart Merle Grieser. After moving to Colorado in 1969, she was an accountant for KLZ Radio and Television for seven years.
Karla’s family was her number one priority, and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She
initiated Life Chain in Greeley and dedicated her life to supporting the unborn. Karla enjoyed road trips, the great outdoors, and loved to see bald eagles. She befriended everyone she met, and had the best smile and the most contagious laugh. Karla had a passion for writing, and hosting Grieser shin-digs. Above all else, Karla loved Jesus.
She was a member of Resurrection Fellowship, Providence Church, and Orchard Road Christian Center. She founded The Genesis Project of Northern Colorado, served with Weld County Right to Life, the Weld County Republicans, and several children’s ministries.
Karla is survived by her husband Merle, of Highlands Ranch; son and daughter-in-LOVE, Matthew and Aubrey, of Highlands Ranch; grandchildren, Mason, Ryln, Kiedan, and Ellanoa; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Karen.
A celebration of Karla’s life will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 2, 2016 at Resurrection Fellowship, 6502 E. Crossroads Boulevard, Loveland, CO 80538.
