Obituary for Warren Hatton Burnam

Warren Hatton Burnam went to be with the Lord on March 19, 2021, due to a heart attack. His 94 years of life were well lived. He was born November 20, 1926. He served in WWII with the Army in Luzon, Philippines, and was one of the first to go into Japan as part of the occupying forces.

In 1951 he joined the Denver Fire Department. He served in a number of fire houses and did dispatch for several years, retiring at 24.5 years due to on-the-job injuries.

Warren loved his family. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Betty. He also lost his middle child, Greg, in a plane crash in 1985. He has two surviving children; Gary (Pat) who lives in Osseo, WI, and Debby (Allen) Baker, residing in Greeley, CO. He has five grandchildren, each of whom he was able to talk with while in Hospice, and has five (almost six) great grandchildren.

Warren will be inurned at the Jacksonville Veterans Cemetery in Missouri during the Bevier (his hometown) Homecoming on August 13th, 2021.
