Obituary for Anita Ybarra

Anita Ybarra was born October 26, 1937 in Lubbock, Texas to Ted and Margarita Mungia. At the age of 83, she passed away at her home on March 19, 2021.
As a child, she lived in Texas and moved to Colorado in 1949 where she met the love of her life Lupe Ybarra. They married July 17, 1954 and started a family in 1955. Anita and Lupe where married for 67 years.
Anita’s greatest joy was her family. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was known for making the best tamales. Additionally, she was known for her laugh and taking care of her flowers. Being a strong woman of faith, she enjoyed going to church. Anita was loved by everyone who knew her. She was a strong woman that fought until the end.
Survived by her husband Lupe Ybarra, daughter Susie Ybarra, grandchildren Vincent (Desiree) Benavides, Valerie Benavides (Daniel Becerra), Thomas Ybarra, Trenton Ybarra, Tess Ybarra, Tyler Ybarra, Jennifer (Carlos) Burciaga; seven great-grandchildren and one on the way; siblings Mary Maltos, Sally Carpio, Andrea (Jimmy) Moncivais, Ray Mungia, Bessie Mungia and Dominga (Fermin) Archuleta.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ted and Margarita Mungia, children Josie and Rudy Ybarra; brother Willie Mungia.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 25 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Adamson Life Celebration Home 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO. Life Celebration is Friday, March 26th 10:00am at New Hope Christian Fellowship 1900 Aa St. Greeley, CO. Interment will follow at Linn Grove Cemetery, 1700 Cedar Ave. Greeley, CO.
