Obituary for Isami "Bob" Tomasu

Isami “Bob” Tomasu, 94, of Greeley, formerly of Hawaii, passed away October 1, 2021. He was born August 25, 1927 in Kaaawa, Hawaii to Kichitor and Katsu (Watati) Tomasu, the youngest of nine children.
He graduated from high school in Kaneohe, Hawaii in 1945 and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture from Colorado State University.
Bob served in the U.S. Army from 1946-49 before being honorably discharged as a Corporal.
On February 16, 1952, he married Sue Sumiko Kimura in Kaneohe, Hawaii.
Bob worked as a soil scientist for the U.S. Department of Agriculture before retiring. He enjoyed playing baseball, football, fishing, hunting, farming and gardening.
Survivors include his children; Robyn (Kenny) Keltner of Greeley, CO and Robert (Kay) Tomasu of Wichita, KS, five grandchildren; Jennifer Ziegler of Fort Collins, CO, Jeff Keltner of Denver, CO, Jeremy Keltner of Kansas City, MO, Kevin Tomasu of Overland, Park, KS and Lisa Tomasu of Shawnee, KS as well as six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded by his eight brothers and sisters and his wife, Sue of 65 years.
Cremation with services to be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu, Hawaii at a later date to be announced.
