Obituary for Larry Ramon Goodrich

Larry Ramon Goodrich, 88, went to be with the Lord on Sept. 29, 2021, in Colorado Springs, CO. He was born on June 15, 1933, in Cody, NE to George K. and Dollie A. (Nelson) Goodrich.

Larry lived in Cody and Woodlake, NE as well as Casper, WY, and then graduated from Gordon, NE HS in 1951. He continued his education at Chadron State College, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and graduated from the National Business Institute in 1961. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Ft. Richardson, AK. He married his wife Patricia in 1957; they were married for 58 years until her death in 2015.

Larry started work as a drug store soda jerk, later driving a grain truck, working as a clerk, selling life insurance, bookkeeping, managing offices, and then working at the Greeley Post Office for 24 years until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with family, playing card games and pocket billiards, attending shows in Branson, MO, traveling to Hawaii, and gardening. Larry was a member of the Greeley Wesleyan Church.

He is survived by his four children, Keven and wife Pam of Colorado Springs, Shirley Stewart of Florissant, CO, Terry and wife Kristin of Colorado Springs, and Bill and husband Michael of Forney, TX; eleven grandchildren, Matthew (Shawna) Goodrich of CO, Caren Goodrich of MN, Allison (Stanton) Burchett of CO, Anna Lewis of NC, Brandon (Emily) Stewart of IN, Karissa Stewart of FL, Katherine Goodrich of CO, Julia Goodrich of TX, USMC Lance Corporal Timothy Goodrich of Japan, USMC Gunnery Sergeant Trenton (Jaci) Goodrich of FL, and Lindsey (Andrew) Nantze of OK; nine great-grandchildren and his brother Donald Goodrich of CO.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Pat, sister Alice Shirley Goodrich, brother Kenneth Goodrich, sister-in-law Donna Belle Goodrich, and son-in-law Jimmy Stewart.

Visitation will be at Adamson Life Celebration Center on Thursday, October 14, 5-7 p.m. Life Celebration will take place at Adamson Life Celebration Center on Friday, October 15 at 10:00 a.m. with reception to follow. Internment at Linn Grove Cemetery will follow at 12:30 p.m.
