Obituary for Marilyn Kay Leffler

Marilyn Kay Leffler, 75, passed away September 25, 2021 at home in Windsor.

Marilyn was born in Greeley, the second of three children to Opal and Clayton Edmonds. She grew up in Greeley with her older sister, Carolyn (Printz) and younger brother, C. Duane Edmonds. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and sister.

Marilyn had two children, Brenda (Janeé) Harteau of Lakewood Ranch, Florida, and Brian (Sharon) Leffler of Colorado Springs. Marilyn is also survived by her granddaughter, Lauren Guicoy-Xetey of Minneapolis and her beloved little cat, Torra.

Marilyn loved her family, her flowers, all animals, reading mystery novels and the King of Rock & Roll, Elvis Aaron Presley. She lived in Windsor for the last twenty years and enjoyed the balloon festival, art fairs and watching the area grow.

Marilyn lived her life with independence, grace and dignity. She was quietly brave…even at the end and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A Life Celebration will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Adamson with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the “Humane Society of Weld County” in care of Adamson, 2000 47th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634. Friends may leave condolences at AdamsonCares.com.
