Obituary for Floyd A. Segura

Floyd Alex Segura departed this earthly life to rest with our Heavenly Father on April 9, 2021 at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, Colorado at the age of 58.

Floyd was born on February 14, 1963 in Greeley, CO to Eufelio and Lucy Segura.

Floyd attended school in Ault, CO. After High School, Floyd selflessly chose to serve in the United States Marine Corps. During his time served in the Military, he became a Sharpshooter and Heavy Equipment Operator and was Honorably Discharged in 1987. Floyd was very proud to be a Marine “Oorah!”

Floyd had many exceptional talents such as carpentry and construction, but his passion was Painting (Auto Body)! He received his Automotive Collision Technology Refinish Technician Certification on December 5, 2014. Floyd was always a hardworking man who loved learning new things and applying them to utilize the talents God blessed him with.

Floyd loved God, his family, and his friends. He loved sharing stories about his life experiences and made lasting impressions with everyone he met. He enjoyed fishing and camping trips with his wife, children, grandchildren, and family. Floyd enjoyed hunting elk, drinking whisky and eating seafood, specifically crab legs, he also loved his beans and papas. He had an amazing smile and his laugh was so wonderful to hear, he had a great sense of humor and has a very special place in our hearts. He was a huge Broncos fan, he loved driving to the mountains, enjoyed listening to music, dancing, and joking around. Floyd was one of a kind, he was selfless and had a big heart! Floyd is loved by many!

Floyd was preceded in death by his father Eufelio Segura and his brother John Segura.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years Mrs. Aida Segura; his children; 2 Daughters – Juanita Segura and Laila Damian of Greeley, CO, 4 Sons – Floyd Segura Jr., Angelo Segura, Caleb Segura and Ivan Segura of Greeley, CO, his mother Lucy Segura of Nunn, CO, brothers Joseph and Sam Segura of Nunn, CO, sisters Nellie Blea of Nunn, CO, Isabelle Vasquez, Priscilla, Becky, and Anne Segura of Ault, CO, Marie Salinas of Chaska, MN and Naomi Martinez of Azusa, CA, 13 grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be 4:00 to 6:00 pm Friday, April 16 at Adamson Life Celebration Home. Services will be 11:00 am Monday, April 19th at Trinity Spanish Assembly of God, 601 21st Ave, Greeley, CO. A private burial will be held.
