Obituary for Carol Jean Webster

Carol Jean Webster, 84, of Greeley passed away at her home with her family at her bedside. She was born April 6, 1934 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Gilbert Peter and Loretta Helen (Schueller) Bunt. At the age of 10, the family moved to Colorado and settled in Greeley where she graduated high school in 1952 and then from Colorado State College of Education (UNC) with a degree in business and a teaching certificate.

On August 20, 1955 she married John Barclay Webster at St. Peter Catholic Church.

Carol worked as a secretary at UNC, stayed home to raise her children and then spent 25 years at Kathleen’s Special-T Shop and Uniforms.

An active member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Carol played in a number of Bridge card clubs. She and John volunteered at UCCC and loved to travel.

Survivors include her children and their families; Victoria (James) Swenson of Edmond, OK and their children Ian, Clarissa, Kent and Kyle; Timothy (Cindy) Webster of Tulsa, OK and their son Garrett and Jennifer Webster of Greeley and her sons, Darin and Lance; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Deb (Doug) Croissant of Greeley; niece Sarah and great-niece, Marah.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Roger Bunt.

Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 7 followed by Memorial Mass at 12’noon at St. Mary Catholic Church, 2222 23rd Avenue, Greeley. A reception will follow with inurnment of Carol and John at 2:30 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
