Obituary for Steven Verle Deniston

Steve Deniston, 54, of Milliken, CO passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 as the result of a work accident. He was born January 5, 1964 in Denver, CO to Martin and Patricia (Ruby) Deniston.
In 1972, the family moved to the Longmont area and he attended Mead schools, graduating from Skyline High School in Longmont in 1982. Steve graduated from Phoenix Institute of Technology in 1984.
He married Laura Kane in 1994 in Maui, HI and they had two sons, Tanner and Kyler.
Steve co-owned Monfort-Deniston Sculptures, a Colorado company and worked at Sun Mountain in Berthoud, CO for 18 years as a Warehouse Supervisor/Production Expeditor and according to those at Sun Mountain, Steve’s day to day work duties easily carried the additional title of Sun Mountain Ambassador.
Growing up, he loved dirt biking and riding his horse, Sambo. He also enjoyed painting, sculpting statues, hunting and fishing with his sons, competitive jet skiing and camping with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Laura; sons, Tanner and Kyler of Milliken; parents, Martin and Patricia of Longmont; brother, Gary (Stephanie) of Loveland; sister, Sandy (John) Ellis of Berthoud and nieces and nephews, Jacob, Sierra (David), Taran (Alex), Cory, Chad and Caisey and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Life Celebration Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, October 22 at Grace Community Church, 2033 W. South First Street, Johnstown with burial to follow at the Greenlawn Cemetery, Berthoud. A reception will follow back at the church.
