Obituary for MaCuley Boyer-Brash

MaCuley Jordan Boyer-Brash, 17, of Greeley, Colorado passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018 in Greeley. He was born November 26, 2000 in Greeley to Morgan Brash and Prairie Boyer.

MaCuley grew up in Greeley and attended Trinity Lutheran and Ann Heiman Elementary schools. He was very social and fun-loving and was into most of the things boys his age enjoyed, like “Toy Story” - Woody was his favorite - skateboarding, biking and friends. He spent many summers visiting his grandparents in Barrington, IL. After elementary school MaCuley moved to Crystal Lake, IL to live with his father. While in Crystal Lake, he attended Prairie Grove Junior high and Prairie Ridge high school and enjoyed the small town and local pizza shop. He attended his freshman year of high school at Ashcreek Ranch Academy in Toquerville, UT where he enjoyed the ranch setting, and the many outdoor activities of Zion national park along with the many new friends he met there. MaCuley returned to Greeley and attended University High School.

MaCuley’s teenage years were full of life experiences. He enjoyed rafting, hiking, making YouTube videos. He had many travels, a trip to the Grand Canyon with his grandparents, a trip with his mother and sister to San Francisco and a tour of the Alcatraz Island Penitentiary, Disneyland, Jamaica, Mexico, and Canada. He also had many trips with his aunt Nikki and uncle Matthew, to St John, St Michaels, New York City, the Jersey Shores and the Hamptons. He also had the pleasure and opportunity to hike with Bradley Cooper and meet Renee Zellwiger. His smile was warm and vibrant, and people often commented how his smile would brighten their day. He loved to tease; especially his little sister and mom. He was loving and kind, and had a heart as big as Colorado. MaCuley went through some tough times as well. Like many teenagers, he struggled to understand life, who he was and where and how he fit in to it. In spite of his own struggles, MaCuley was always lifting and encouraging others. He was a very generous person, often putting others needs in front of his own. MaCuley’s family will remember him as a kind, loving and big-hearted son, brother and grandson.

He is survived by his parents, Morgan Brash, Prairie Boyer and Iman Boroomand; sister, Summer Boyer; brothers, Pedrum and Parhum Boroomand; grandparents, Kevin and Susan Boyer, David and Pamela Brash; a loving extended family and many friends.
