Obituary for Josephine Crespin

Josephine Crespin, 76, of Greeley, passed away September 15, 2018 at her home. She was born November 15, 1941 in Greeley to Manuel and Florence (Martinez) Ortiz, Sr.
She married Joe Richard Crespin on June 25, 1977 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She worked at Bayly Manufacturing in Greeley for 11 years, sewing denim jeans and jackets. They moved to Tucson, AZ for 21 years and located back to Greeley.
Josephine was a consummate homemaker, constantly providing for her family. She loved to crochet, knit, sew, fish, work crossword and sudoku puzzles as well as take a trip up the mountain to Black Hawk. She cared for others and had a great love and devotion for her family.
A member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, she and Richard volunteered time to clean at the church.
Survivors include her husband, Richard; children Nicholas and Damien Crespin, sisters; Betty Hubbard, Ernestine Daniels, Viola Lopez and Carol Ortiz. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers; Leroy, Benny, Manuel Jr. and Rudy Ortiz.
A Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 20 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment Linn Grove Cemetery. A reception will follow at St. Mary’s Parish Hall.
