Bernardita “Berna” Romero, 76, of Pierce, CO passed away Monday, June 25, 2018 in Pierce. She was born on December 20, 1941 in New Mexico to Jose and Jesse (Duran) Romero.
Berna grew up in New Mexico. On December 26, 1957, in New Mexico, she married Manuel Romero.
She was a homemaker, who loved Pepsi and sweets, gardening, cooking, and baking bread.
Berna attended New Hope Christian Fellowship and Primera Iglesia Bautista in Greeley, CO.
Berna is survived by her children, Doris (Orlando) Maes of Las Animas, CO, Merlinda (Felipe) Tapia of Greeley, Manny Romero of Severance, CO, Leroy Romero of Greeley, Marcella Romero of Greeley, Rosemary (Ramiro) Ramirez of Eaton, CO, Carmelita (Mike) Serna of Lavilla, TX, and Tina (Gilbert) Romero of Greeley; 25 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 0ne brother; seven sisters; best friend, Peggy Haywood; and pet, Luna.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Jesse; husband, Manuel; and son, Andy Romero.
A Life Celebration visitation is going to be from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2018 with a prayer service at 7 p.m., both at Adamson. A Life Celebration will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 6, 2018 at Mosaic Church, 3451 23rd Avenue, Evans, CO 80620.
