Obituary for
Dorothy M. Smith
Dorothy Smith, a nineteen twenty classic passed from this earth on June 23, 2018 to be reunited with her loving husband Lloyd in a heavenly place.
A proud and spirited Italian woman, Dorothy was born and raised on a farm on Taft Hill Road in Fort Collins, Colorado. She spent her adult life in Greeley where she worked and raised her family. Dorothy was an amazing homemaker, a very creative cook and a wonderful banker. She and Lloyd hosted many family gatherings where the main course, of course, was pasta. Regardless of the need or task, Dorothy and Lloyd were always there with helping hands. Dorothy lived a faithful life of love and service!
Dorothy is survived by her three children and their spouses, Harold and Karen Smith of Johnstown, CO, Donald and Cindy Smith of Fort Collins, and Shirley and Neil Forehand of Liberty Hill, TX. She is also survived by six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren. She was blessed with long life and left a lasting legacy to many.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Smith; parents, Jack and Nellie Varra; five brothers; and four sisters.
