Cruz Trevino, 78, of LaSalle, CO passed away Monday, June 18, 2018 at Platte Valley Medical Center in Brighton, CO.
He was born September 14, 1939 in Asherton, TX to Juan R. Sr. and Manuela (Orsonia) Trevino. On January 31, 1961 Cruz married Yolanda (Torres) in Greeley, CO.
Along with his sons Cruz owned and operated Trevino Trucking, out of LaSalle. He enjoyed drag races and restoring classic cars. His favorite pastime was cruising around in one of his classic cars. He enjoyed spending time with his animals at his farm. He also enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, professional wrestling and eating ice cream. He was an active member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Greeley.
Cruz is survived by his sons, Tony (Delia) Trevino of LaSalle, Adolph (Angel) Trevino of Aurora, CO, Lee Trevino of LaSalle; his daughters, Irene (Leopoldo) Rivera of Greeley, Lisa (Chris) Callaway of Evans, CO; sisters, Beatrice Trevino of LaSalle and Katie (Larry) Salazar of Greeley; brother, Dale "Karate" Maldonado of Greeley; 14 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and his dog Tigre.
He was preceded in death by his wife Yolanda, brother Juan “Chato”, daughter Margo, and his parents.

Services include Visitation from 5-7p.m. Sunday June24, 2018 at Adamson Chapel, 2000 47th Ave. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church; 1311 3rd Street. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. Monday June 25, 2018 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
