Obituary for Dorothy J. Boston

Dorothy June Boston, 84 of Greeley, CO passed away June 17, 2018 in Greeley.
She was born in Fort Collins, CO on June3, 1934 to M. Harold and A. Evelyn (Bond) Harden.
Growing up she was very active in 4-H, receiving top honors showing her Angus cattle. She graduated from Wellington High School and Colorado Woman’s College. On July 3, 1955 she married Grover Edward Boston at the Nunn Presbyterian Church. To this marriage three children were born, Wanda, Allen and John.
They lived in Ault, CO for 11 years then moved to Greeley. She was room mother while her children were in elementary school. She worked for District 6 Food Service, Dr. Douglas Uyemura, Furrs Cafeteria and Golden Corral. She was a member of Eaton Twilight Club, Keenage Singers, Church Woman United, Greeley Women’s Club, The First Christian Church Disciples of Christ and Christian Woman’s Fellowship. She sang in the choir and played in the hand bell choir for the First Christian Church. Dorothy loved to dance, enjoyed cooking and was an amazing seamstress make wedding dresses, western wear and unique crafts.
Dorothy is survived by her children Wanda, Allen and John, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandson, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ed, sister Ruth Van Kempan and cousin Victor Harden.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00p.m. Thursday June 21, 2018 with viewing one hour prior at First Christian Church 2230 13th St. Greeley. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
