After a courageous battle with MS, lasting more than 40 years, Darielle “Ellie” Anne Sodman passed away at Kenton Manor nursing home on Thursday, June 14, 2018. Ellie was born at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln, NE on December 7, 1958 to Wayne Arnold and Alice Anne (Moran) Sodman.

The family moved to Colorado at a young age and she grew up in Greeley, graduating from Greeley West in 1977 and then from Aims Community College.

Ellie worked at K-Mart for 17 years before working at Greeley Medical Clinic for 4 years.

She loved to cross-stitch and taught CCD classes at St. Mary’s Catholic Church more than 10 years where she was also a member. Two huge passions in her life were her love for her four nephews and her love for dogs.

Survivors include her father, Wayne Sodman; siblings; Tim, Kathie (David) Weiderspon and Kelly (Eva); 4 nephews; Wayne Sodman, Matthew, Zachary and Austin Weiderspon.

She was preceded in death by her mother and grandparents.

Recitation of the Rosary 7 p.m. Thursday, June 21 at Adamson. Memorial Mass 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 22 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 2222 23rd Ave. with a reception to follow.
