Obituary for Carol Ann Feit

Carol Ann Feit
Carol Feit, 65, died peacefully surrounded by family and friends at North Colorado Medical Center on June 5, 2018 after a brief illness. Carol was born in Smith Center, KS to Bert and Vera (Bennett) Musser on August 4, 1952.
She moved with her family to Denver, CO in 1954 and then to Greeley, CO in 1962 where she attended
Maplewood, Heath and graduated from Greeley West High School in 1970. She attended University of Northern Colorado briefly and then went to work at State Farm.
Carol married Pete Feit on June 25, 1972. She continued working at State Farm until their first daughter Kerri was born in April 1976. Once Kerri was born she became a stay at home mom and in November 1978, Nichole joined big sister Kerri to complete the family.
At times while the girls were small she worked part-time at various places, but her main focus was always her family and being involved in their activities; swimming while the girls were growing up and family activities that included boating, waterskiing, biking, hiking, and snowshoeing.
In 1988 she went to work for Vandergon Chiropractic and worked as a chiropractic assistant until 2008. She finished her career by working for a short time at Christopher and Banks and finally becoming the head of PR for Pete’s lawn sprinkler repair business. There she expanded her circle of friends by talking to the customers while Pete was working. Occasionally she would help dig, or run the timers.
Carol and Pete enjoyed travel and adventure. She loved the water, sun and sand. Their travels took them from Alaska to the Caribbean during their nearly 46 years of marriage.
Her life took on a new purpose in December 2013 when the light of her life, her grandson was born. From that point on her main focus was her little Pete. The trips to Hatch, UT increased in frequency so Nanny could be included in everything. We are convinced she has now become his guardian angel.
Carol is survived by her husband, Pete; daughters, Kerri (Chad) Justus and Nichole (Tony) Dinges, both of Hatch; grandson, Pete Dinges; mother, Vera Musser; brothers, Ray (Kristy) Musser and Robert Musser and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bert Musser.
A celebration of Carol’s wonderful life will be at Cornerstone Community Church, 1321 9th Avenue, Greeley at 10:30 a.m. on June 15, 2018, with a luncheon to follow.
A special thank you to North Colorado Medical Center ICU staff and department for all of their
kindness, love and support.
Memorial contributions can be made in Carol’s name to the “Leukemia and Lymphoma Society”
in care of Adamson Life Celebration home, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634.
