James Donald Kruse, 84, of Greeley, CO, died April 17, 2018 at his home.
He was born September 3, 1933 in Peterson, IA, the son of Floyd and Jessie (Ewing) Kruse.

On September 4, 1954, he was united in marriage to Barbara Moeller in Royal, IA. James entered the United States Army serving from 1956-1958. He graduated with a Masters in Education degree from the University of Northern Colorado in 1961. He taught at Greeley Central High School and Arapahoe Community College. Later he owned the Gambles in Windsor and Footnote Book Store in Loveland. He retired from the Internal Revenue Service in 1985. His favorite pastime was riding his bike.

James was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sharon (Kruse) Reedstrom.

James is survived by his wife, Barbara, his son David Kruse and wife Sandy of Lakewood, CO, and two grandchildren, Molly and Kevin; and brother Tom Kruse and wife Monica of Carroll, IA.
